I have a Masters in Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy in addition to a Certificate in Counselling Skills and I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I adhere to the BACP code of ethics for practitioners.
My background is in Social Housing and Immigration within local authorities. My training to practice Psychotherapy and Counselling took a number of years and I was required to be in personal therapy for the duration. I have regular supervision to manage my case load and in line with the BACP code of ethics.
My approach is psychodynamic. This means I am interested in your past experiences and relationships as well as the emotions you are not conscious of but which effect your behaviour. Your dreams can also be relevant to the work.
